BTS members RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are set to begin their military service. With all members heading to serve, fans eagerly await their reunion in 2025.

On November 22, Big Hit Music announced via the official fan community platform Weverse that "RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have begun the process of fulfilling their military obligations." The statement continued, "RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are currently preparing for their military service. We will provide updates on their enlistment as they become available."

Additionally, Big Hit Music added, "We ask for your warm support and unwavering love until RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook return in good health. We will continue to support and care for our artists during this time."

Previously, Jin, J-Hope, and Suga had enlisted quietly to prevent any inconvenience caused by large crowds. Similarly, the remaining four members are expected to enlist privately considering the situation on the ground.

With this, all members of BTS will have fulfilled their military duty. Jin enlisted last year on December 13th and is currently serving as an instructor in the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. J-Hope enlisted this April and is serving as an instructor in the 36th Infantry Division in Wonju, Gangwon Province. Suga enlisted this September and, after completing his basic military training, is serving as a public service worker. The remaining four members are scheduled to enlist sequentially.

BTS debuted in June 2013 with '2 COOL 4 SKOOL' under what was then Big Hit Entertainment. Since then, they have released numerous hit songs and topped various global charts including the U.S. Billboard, U.K. Official Charts, Japan's Oricon, iTunes, Spotify, and Apple Music. The group renewed their contract with Big Hit Music in September this year, demonstrating their loyalty to the agency.

According to Big Hit Music, considering the military service of some members, the contracts will be concluded individually and sequentially. Members currently serving in the military will have completed their service by 2025 when the new exclusive contract period begins. This sets the stage for BTS's full-group activities in 2025.

Jungkook, who has been active as a solo artist recently, expressed his anticipation for the group's return in 2025, saying, "In Korean proverbs, 2025 does not seem like a distant future. While preparing as a solo artist and working as a solo musician, there were moments I really missed the members." He continued, "When I was in the waiting room, standing alone on stage, or eating with the staff, I definitely felt the absence of my members who had been together for several years. That's why 2025 doesn't feel far away, and I think BTS's synergy in 2025 will be amazing. I'm really looking forward to it."
