Liverpool Football Club has issued a strong condemnation following an attack on the Manchester United team bus by some of its fans. The incident occurred as the bus was heading to Anfield for a Premier League match, which ultimately resulted in a goalless draw.

The attack was captured on video and shared on social media. It shows a group of individuals, identified as Liverpool fans, throwing a bottle at the Manchester United team bus, causing damage to a window. Fortunately, the window did not completely shatter, and no injuries were reported.

Liverpool FC, in a statement, expressed its disapproval and announced an ongoing investigation to identify those involved. The club emphasized the severity of the incident and assured that those found responsible would face significant consequences, both legally and through the club's disciplinary processes.

The incident is not the first of its kind involving Liverpool fans. A similar event took place in 2018 when Manchester City's bus was attacked en route to Anfield for a UEFA Champions League match. The attack resulted in injuries to two police officers and significant damage to the bus.

Liverpool had apologized for the 2018 incident, with former captain Steven Gerrard highlighting the club's aim for a hostile atmosphere at matches, but condemning violence and damage.

On the field, Liverpool, who had previously defeated Manchester United with a 7-0 scoreline, found themselves stymied by a solid defensive performance from United, leading to a scoreless draw. The result placed Liverpool one point behind league leaders Arsenal, while Manchester United remained in seventh place.

The latest incident has again sparked discussions on fan behavior and safety at football matches, with clubs and authorities under pressure to ensure such incidents are not repeated.
