Prince Harry, who stated that he has sufficient content left over for additional tell-all volumes shortly after the release of "Spare" in January 2023, appears that he may be ready to reveal all of his secrets once more. As a result of the news, a number of prominent royal experts are both alarmed and astonished by the fresh revelations.
"I can't imagine that Harry would contemplate a follow-up to Spare. He has indicated that he wants to move on: he has said his peace, vented his anger and faced the consequences. If he did go there, then I am sure the response would be a continued dignified silence and a resounding crash as the palace doors slammed on any hope of future reconciliation,” veteran royal correspondent Jennie Bond shared to The New York Post.
"The first draft was different. It was 800 pages, and now it’s down to 400 pages. It could have been two books; put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out,” the Montecito Duke told a publication in January 2023.
“[Prince Harry is already in the royal doghouse and] likely permanently banned from royal life in their [senior royals and courtiers] eyes. If he does follow through with writing yet another salacious book, that ban will extend to a personal bar from his family, meaning he won't just be excluded from royal events; he will be ignored as if he never existed,” a palace insider revealed.
"There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don’t want the world to know. Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me,” the husband of Meghan Markle said, as per PEOPLE.
It has been stated that Prince William has not communicated with his younger brother in any way since the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, which took place on September 19, 2022. It would appear that the future monarch is not interested in the possibility of ever making amends with him either.
King Charles has reportedly a certain level of "determination to try and reconcile" with Prince Harry, The Royal Observer reported. However, Prince William's friends pointed out that the monarch-in-waiting has a different perspective on their public feud.
"He absolutely f------ hates him. Harry sold his family out to the media for millions of dollars, and William can’t forgive that breach of trust. I think it’s exactly because the bond was so deep that the betrayal has been so wounding. They were the only people who actually knew what each other had been through,” an unnamed source said.
"How would you feel if your best friend decided to reveal all your personal secrets to the newspapers. Well, multiply that by a thousand,” the confidant questioned.
