Former "Counting On" star Jana Duggar ignited intense engagement rumors after she was seen in recent social media posts sporting a ring on her left hand.
On Monday, July 8, Jana, 34, posted pictures from a trip to Charleston, South Carolina, with her twin, John David Duggar, and his spouse, Abbie Duggar. The oldest Duggar daughter was seen in the pictures posing for pictures on a beach with her sister-in-law, 32, and brother, 34, while sporting a bright blue outfit and black sandals.
Fans expressed happiness at the family outing before pointing out that Jana was wearing a ring on her left hand, which may have been a hint at an unannounced proposal.
"Engagement ring?!! Did I miss something?" one user wrote under the photo.
"Is Jana engaged??? If so I'm so happy for her and I hope gets a Jana wedding spin off like I'm a fan so I would live to see her get married!", another added.
"Is that an engagement ring on Jana's hand? I sure hope so," a third quipped.
Regarding a potential engagement, Jana has not yet revealed anything, according to In Touch Weekly. She did, however, provide supporters with a "life update" in June after resuming her social media presence the month before after a two-year absence.
"So it's been a little while since I've shared an update so I wanted to show you all what I've been up to the past few months on the farm," Jana said in a video posted to her YouTube channel on June 30. In the footage, the "19 Kids and Counting" alum cleaned out the old shed, tended to farm animals and built a fence on the Duggar family's massive Arkansas compound.
"I absolutely love this time of year, you can see the flowers growing, the vegetables are starting to grow. It's just new life that is blossoming everywhere. It is so beautiful out here," the Arkansas native said while she panned the camera to show off the greenery.
The reality TV actress had not posted on social media for about two months when she made her comeback. She had been away for two years. Jana shared a snapshot of purple blooming flowers on Instagram on May 9 with the phrase "Spring beauty," according to US Magazine.
Because Jana did not choose to go through the traditional Duggar family courtship process as her younger siblings had in the past, admirers have lovingly referred to her as the Cinderella Duggar. She has also made headlines for saying that inquiries about her dating life "get old."
"Sometimes it can get a little, like, what? It's not the only thing in the world to talk about," the TV personality said during a September 2020 episode of "Counting On". "As for now it's nice, I get to do a lot of different things, but ... I mean, I wouldn't mind it. There are those moments with, like, all the different couples are hanging out."
In a subsequent occasion, Jana made a remark about how her contemporaries are constantly attempting to set her up.
"People here and there ... they feel bad for me! I'm like, 'Whatever.' They're like, 'Hey, I have a nephew,' or 'I have a cousin.' And I'm like, 'Oh, thanks,'" she explained. "Some are like, 'Oh man, are you picky?' I'm like, 'I don't think so!'"
Regarding Jana's romantic relationships, not much is known. Following reports that they were seen together on a trip, the house remodeler was allegedly dating Nebraska pilot Stephen Wissman at the beginning of 2021.
