In celebration of their 8th anniversary, BLACKPINK will come together for a special event, though it will forego the usual speeches and Q&A session. Instead, the group will greet fans on the "Pink Carpet."
YG Entertainment announced on the 26th that the production presentation for the film "BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN CINEMAS," scheduled for the evening of August 9 at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, will not include the traditional elements of a movie production presentation. These typically involve cast remarks, behind-the-scenes talks, and media Q&A sessions.
"BLACKPINK will greet fans and reporters on the 'Pink Carpet,' akin to the red carpet," YG emphasized.
Earlier that day, YG Entertainment confirmed that all four members of BLACKPINK would attend the production presentation of "BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN CINEMAS" on August 9 at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. However, it was clarified that there would be no 8th-anniversary speeches or Q&A session involving the members.
The event, organized to celebrate the release of the "BORN PINK" world tour concert film, will feature a 'Pink Carpet' backdrop, symbolizing BLACKPINK. Celebrating their 8th anniversary this year, BLACKPINK plans to connect more closely with their fans at this venue.
Additionally, members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will personally visit the theater to express their gratitude to the audience. This will mark the first time in approximately 11 months that all four members will come together since the finale of their world tour last September, and a tremendous response is anticipated.
The "BORN PINK" concert film, set to release on July 31, captures the fervor of the world tour finale held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Gocheok-dong, Seoul. It will be screened in over 110 countries, including South Korea, the United States, and the United Kingdom, setting a record for the most extensive release of a girl group concert film.
