Donald Trump faces new criticism from Cato Institute immigration specialist David Bier, who labels his deportation record as a massive failure. Bier points to deceptive tactics, arrests of noncriminals, and a lack of focus on dangerous offenders as key issues under the Trump administration.

David Bier, an immigration specialist at the Cato Institute, said that Donald Trump has a "failure" record on the issue. Bier used social media on Saturday to forecast the launch of Trump's deportation plan; he had previously commented on the first Trump administration's policy of family separation.

In the first week, Bier notes that a large-scale sequence of arrests would be broadcast on television, and he goes on to say that Trump will lie about the people he is deporting. According to the immigration expert, Trump would order ICE to arrest both criminals and law-abiding citizens in the region. The expert also mentioned that ICE was *already* prepared to arrest the criminal targets of the operation.

Bier continues by saying that on the first day in office, Trump will authorize ICE to arrest anyone in the country illegally.

He followed by saying that Trump will falsely accuse everyone detained of being a gang member or criminal after deprioritizing criminals and redirecting resources from more pressing dangers. When cases involving sympathetic individuals emerge, Trump's administration will also spread false accusations against them.

Dear Perla Morales,For many years, Luna did not have a conviction on her record. On the witness of her three American children, members of the Trump administration seized her. A member of Trump's staff responded to the outcry by claiming the mother of three lived in a "human smuggling facilitator" ring. This was completely false and without evidence. According to Bier, a few days later, she was quietly released without charges.

Additionally, the libertarian cited a few other sources.

"Rosenda Perez-Pelcastre and Francisco Duarte-Tineo were two parents who experienced the same thing. When their arrests came to light, Trump's admin said they were running a 'stash house' with their 4 young kids. It was another LIE. They were released. No charges again, he wrote. "Daniel Ramirez, a DACA recipient, never had any criminal charges against him. And Trump couldn't even make up a crime for him, but they labeled him a 'gang member' without evidence. Once gain... They terminated his DACA status, but once again... they quietly released him."

Bier proceeds by outlining yet another manner in which the Trump administration was unsuccessful in this regard.

Officials in the nation's capital instructed field offices to find "egregious situations" to justify the widespread arrest of noncriminals by ICE in 2017, The Raw Story shares. However, he did disclose that Trump ICE officials had also failed at this mission. In terms of actual security record, Trump has gutted enforcement against criminals and released felons into the US who have committed significant offenses. He rolled back ten years of gains in preventing criminals from illegally entering the country. He wasn't successful at all.

He concluded by saying that Trump will certainly capture criminals, but that they have already been targets under the current administration. His goal in making those arrests is to deflect criticism from the innocent people affected by his mass deportation agenda and to tarnish their reputations.
