Meghan Markle offered followers a rare glimpse of her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in a new photo posted Monday on Instagram, highlighting their signature red hair inherited from Prince Harry. The post coincides with the rollout of her lifestyle brand, As Ever, and the debut of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan.
The Duchess of Sussex captioned the photo, "Every day is a love story," sharing it as a joint post between her personal Instagram account and the official page for As Ever. The image shows Markle from behind, holding Lilibet on her hip while Archie hugs her close, both children's red hair clearly visible. Lilibet, wearing an oatmeal-colored sweater and matching sun hat, carries a small harvesting basket, while Archie sports casual gray attire with green sneakers and dinosaur-print socks.
Prince Harry has spoken publicly about his children's striking red hair, crediting the "strong" Spencer gene from his mother, Princess Diana. During a 2023 interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Harry remarked, "Definitely my mum. The ginger gene is a strong one! The Spencer gene is very, very strong."
Markle has gradually increased public visibility of her children through select social media posts and promotional material for her ventures. In December, the Sussex family's holiday card featured Archie and Lilibet running toward their parents. The children have also made appearances, albeit limited, in relation to Markle's brand promotions and media projects.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Markle described how meaningful it is to build As Ever while her children watch. "Being able to have my own little girl, as I've spent so much of my life championing the rights of girls and women, and to be able to see this as a multigenerational story - Archie is of course included in that, my husband is of course included in that - but I love the heritage feeling of it and knowing this is something that I can create in front of my daughter and teach her what it's like to be a working mom," she said. "This is something that hopefully can be part of her legacy too."
The As Ever brand, which launched officially on March 4 following a rebranding from American Riviera Orchard, offers products ranging from herbal teas and linen clothing to signature raspberry jam and wildflower honey. The product drop coincided with the premiere of With Love, Meghan, which features Markle's focus on cooking, gardening, and lifestyle.
Markle emphasized the message behind the series, saying, "The series is about doing what you can do, and doing it with love."
The Duchess also addressed the challenges and learning curve involved in building her brand, stating, "There are tons of twists and turns - even with the name. I was figuring it out in real time. I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out and also to be forgiving with myself through that. It's a learning curve."
Netflix confirmed earlier this month that With Love, Meghan has been renewed for a second season. Meanwhile, Markle continues to share occasional family moments, including a recent photo of Prince Harry and Lilibet bonding aboard a boat.
