Former President Joe Biden's recent announcement that he has been diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer has triggered a wave of political fallout, with Republicans and former President Donald Trump's team accusing the Biden family and White House staff of covering up the illness for years. GOP lawmakers and Trump aides are now calling for Biden's wife, Jill Biden, and physician Kevin O'Connor to testify under oath about what they knew and when.

The former president's condition, revealed in a statement earlier this month, was described as "a more aggressive form of the disease." The statement added, "The cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management." However, reports suggest Biden's Gleason score was 9-indicating one of the most aggressive forms of prostate cancer-and that the cancer has metastasized to his bones.

Dr. Steven Quay, who has not treated Biden, told RadarOnline that such progression typically takes five to seven years, raising questions about whether the disease was known to the president's inner circle long before it was disclosed. Another physician, Dr. Stuart Fischer, also unaffiliated with Biden, estimated the former president may have "six months" to live.

Former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt accused Jill Biden of concealing the truth from the American public. "Jill Biden was certainly complicit in that coverup," Leavitt said during a May 29 briefing. "She's still lying to the American people. She still thinks the American public are so stupid that they're going to believe her lies. And frankly, it's insulting, and she needs to answer for it."

Calls for accountability have expanded beyond political commentary. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has sent formal requests for testimony to several Biden administration officials, including Dr. O'Connor and former Domestic Policy Council Director Neera Tanden. Comer stated: "The American people demand transparency and accountability now."

Leavitt added, Jill Biden should address "when she saw and what she knew." She pointed to publicly available images and videos that Trump aides claim document a pattern of mental decline and physical frailty. "Anybody looking again at the videos and photo evidence of Joe Biden with your own eyes and a little bit of common sense can see that this was a clear coverup," she said.

The president's health had long been a subject of political scrutiny, particularly after Special Counsel Robert Hur's early 2024 report concluded that Biden would likely be perceived by a jury as "a sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory." That assessment, coupled with Biden's performance in a June debate against Trump, accelerated questions about his ability to serve a second term.

Biden eventually withdrew from the 2024 race, and Vice President Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee. She went on to lose the general election to Trump.

Trump's team has framed Biden as a "puppet" of entrenched political operatives. A source told RadarOnline: "The goal of the Deep State is to install a puppet leader that they could manipulate. And Joe Biden was clearly that puppet because he could not make decisions on his own."

A new book by CNN's Jake Tapper and Axios's Alex Thompson, Original Sin, claims that Biden was "only one of five people" running the administration. Republicans are now pressing for a full congressional inquiry into how decisions were made, whether the president was fit to serve, and whether executive actions-including the use of an autopen for pardons-were constitutionally valid.

Neither Biden nor Jill Biden has publicly responded to the allegations.
