The Cupertino tech juggernaut introduces a new lineup of iPad Pro every year. This 2020, consumers and fans of the premium tablet from Apple are anticipating a new series. A new report claims that Apple will equip the upcoming iPad Pro with a game-changing feature that fans would truly appreciate.
Latest Leaks
The latest report is courtesy of the Taiwan-based publication Digitimes. The site claims that the 2020 iPad Pro would house Apple's 5nm A14X Bionic chip. Additionally, it would support both mmWave and sub-6Ghz 5G connectivity, the report states.
Moreover, the site also claims that the upcoming iPhone 12 would feature Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 modem, and looks at the possibility that the 2020 iPad Pro would house the same. The report also reveals some details on the premium tablet's camera setting. According to Digitimes, the 2020 iPad Pro would feature a time of flight camera sensor.
It appears that Apple might release the 2020 iPad Pro series alongside its flagship smartphones. Sources familiar with the release window told Digitimes that the iPad Pro would arrive on Sept. 2020 at Apple's big annual event. The latest report from Digitimes underlines the possibility of a revolutionary iPad Pro series that could offer lightning fast speed in terms of data transfer and connectivity.
Other iPad Pro Leaks
Last month, Digitimes also revealed that Apple is developing a scissor-switch smart keyboard for the iPad Pro. The said smart keyboard would be an accessory to the iPad Pro, but the Taiwan-based site believed at that time that it might be released in Mar. 2020 contrasting its recent statement that iPad Pro will arrive in Sept.
Digitimes also said that the iPad Pro scissor-switch type keyboard would be equipped with a backlight. This way, users can still use it even at night or when the lights are out.
Release Date
Earlier reports suggested that Apple would unveil a new series of iPad Pro in the first quarter of this year. Even TFI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted last year that the 2020 iPad Pro would arrive in Mar. 2020. But, why is Digitimes now reporting of a Sept. 2020 launch date?
It is possible that Apple will release two batches of iPad Pro. The one that might launch next month might feature a few upgrades and would be more a refresh. The one that might launch on Sept. alongside the iPhone 12 could be the 5G version or the more premium iPad Pro variant.
At this point, nothing is official yet. We suggest taking this information with skepticism and with a good measure of salt.
