The 913th chapter of the award-winning manga series "One Piece" will not be released until August. However, several spoilers suggest that a new alliance is brewing and it could change the entire plot moving forward.
In the previous chapter titled "Amigasa Village," Monkey D. Luffy revealed to O-Tama that Portgas D. Ace died during the Battle of Marineford, which caused her to faint. In a series of flashbacks, it was uncovered that O-Tama grew close to Ace after he saved their village from famine.
A grateful Luffy, then, took O-Tama to a doctor at the nearest town. There, the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates was finally reunited with the group's swordsman, Roronoa Zoro.
However, their much-awaited reunion was cut short when Basil Hawkins, the captain of the Hawkins Pirates and one of the Beasts Pirates' headliners, suddenly confronted them. While reluctant at first, Luffy and Zoro prepare to fight back.
While waiting for the next chapter to arrive, fans of the manga series took to One Piece forum to share their predictions on what could happen next. One user speculated that Hawkins and the Straw Hats Pirates could be joining forces to take down the strongest creature in the world, Kaido of the Beasts, and the current Shogun of Wano Kingdom.
"Hawkins will keep this as a secret to Kaido that the SHP's (Straw Hats Pirates) ship was seen on the island," one user speculated, adding, "What he will tell to Kaido is that he successfully disposed the ship of SHP."
The unexpected alliance will also allow Hawkins to save Eustass "Captain" Kid, one of twelve pirates who is referred to as the "Worst Generation." The latter is currently held prisoner on Kaido's winter island.
In addition to the Straw Hats Pirates and Hawkins' alliance, spoilers also suggest that Zoro may acquire a new sword called Nidai Kitetsu. Not much has been said about its capabilities, but it is supposed to be a powerful yet cursed O Wazamono-grade sword.
According to OtakuKart, the Nidai Kitetsu will bring a horrible death to its owner. However, the owner's luck can ultimately overcome the blade's curse.
The 913th chapter of Eiichiro Oda's "One Piece" is expected to be released in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on Aug. 6. While waiting, you may check out the quick recap of the previous chapter below:
