"Overlord" viewers, rejoice! The spoilers for the upcoming episode is here, hinting that there is trouble ahead for Nfirea Bareare (voiced by Ayumu Murase).
As a quick refresher, the fourth episode of "Overlord" Season 3 followed Ainz Ooal Gown (voiced by Satoshi Hino) reprimanding Lupusregina Beta (voiced by Mikako Komatsu) for her failure to spy in Carne Village and protect Nfirea Bareare, Enri Emmot (voiced by Mao Ichimichi) and Lizzie Bareare (Ikuko Tani).
The scene, then, shifted to Ainz Ooal Gown asking the two rulers of Tob Forest - Guu (voiced by Takashi Matsuyama) and Ryraryus Spenia Ai Indarun (voiced by Tadashi Miyazawa) - to follow his orders. However, Guu turned down the offer and challenged him to a duel instead.
As a result, Ainz Ooal Gown activated his Desperation Aura V which instantly killed Guu and his followers. Upon witnessing this, Ryraryus Spenia Ai Indarun pleaded for his life and swore his loyalty to Ainz.
Ainz Ooal Gown, then, turned Guu and his followers' corpses into an undead and ordered them to attack Carne Village along with Ryraryus Spenia Ai Indarun and his monsters.
As the monsters from the forest attack Carne Village, the goblins, and vigilance committee will fight against them while Nfirea Bareare and Enri Emmot patrol the village to see if anyone is not aware of the situation yet, as per OtakuKart.
While patrolling, the two will come across a monster who slip in the village using the backside. To survive, the two will disguise their smell using some tricks, but this eventually fails.
Nfirea Bareare will then come up with an idea - he will stay behind and fight the monster alone while Enri asks for reinforcement. Right before she leaves, he confesses his love to her.
However, Nfirea Bareare is, eventually, incapacitated after a grueling battle. Just when he is about to die, Lupusregina Beta will suddenly show up and save him.
At the same time, the battle of the gate also culminates in a victory. It will, then, be revealed that the orchestrated attack is only to test the Carne Village's defenses as well as their loyalty.
The fifth episode of "Overlord" season 3, titled "Two Leaders," is set to be released on Aug. 7, Tuesday. While waiting, check out the preview for the upcoming episode below:
