Things are getting more interesting inside the Fortnite Battle Royale world. A lot of unexpected events have happened since update 5.3 went live last week and introduced the new Score Royale mode - such as the appearance of-of the Tomato Temple and the seemingly lightning strikes. Of course, everybody knows by now that the lightning strikes actually served as a countdown which eventually introduced a totally unexpected object into the world - a huge purple cube.
But that was not the end of the cube's mystery. Players soon began to notice that the cube actually moves at times which then spawned numerous theories on where it could be heading. And then suddenly, a few lucky players soon found out something even more amazing - players glitch when they are inside the cube as reported by GameRant.
The appearance of the purple cube inside Fortnite's Battle Royale mode naturally aroused the curiosity of most players. Many players actually logged into the game multiple time during a single day just to keep tabs on what's happening to the cube especially when they found out that it actually moves. Being a game where weapons are in abundance, many players, as expected, tried to destroy the mysterious cube using all the weapons at their disposal but, to their disappointment, the cube proved to be so tough that it can't be damaged as reported by The Verge.

But some players are just luckier than the rest and actually found a way to trigger a totally unexpected response from the cube. Actually, it might not be even intentional but a glitch as Reddit user Gsonicify accidentally discovered. By landing on top of the cube and continuously striking its top part with a pickaxe, Gsonicify found out that they've fallen through the map and were transported to what seems to be a dark place.
A few experiments led to the conclusion that the dark place is actually located above the Paradise Palms map. What's even more interesting is that Gsonicify was actually able to reenter the cube using a staircase he created. Could it mean that it may not be a glitch and that the cube could be some sort of doorway or portal to another map?
Meanwhile, other players also noted that the cube is not as useless as previously thought. It can actually recharge the shields of players who got close enough to it.
Players offer various speculations of where the cube could be heading. A Forbes article says that it may have figured out the cube's final destination. By plotting its observed movements, it is highly likely that the cube will eventually end up Salty Springs. However, what it does after it reaches the location is yet another puzzle waiting to be solved.
