Mariah Carey is back on stage for her "The Butterfly Returns" residency show in Las Vegas. The 48-year-old star showed off her smaller figure on Instagram as she prepared for the second leg of her stint at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday, August 31.

The Songbird Supreme worked hard for her return as she reportedly lost a whopping 50 pounds, per Hollywood Life. She proudly showed her tiny waist and sexy cleavage while wearing a pink bodysuit with a fringe as she was getting ready for her show.

"Last touches," Carey captioned the video. The "We Belong Together" hitmaker's hairstylist was fixing her mane at the time. "Vega, baby! Vegas!" she said in the clip. She was also adding finishing touches on her hair as it fell in layered waves across her chest, and she was glowing with excitement.

Carey's "The Butterfly Returns" residency show kicked off on July 5. It is comprised of six performances and would run until February 2019. During the second leg, the mother-of-two showed what she got and performed six times in front of the audience. According to the Daily Mail Online, the third and final shows would continue next year.

It is not the first time Carey graced the Las Vegas stage. To recall, this will be her third Vegas residency. She first performed a four-evening promotional residency at the Pearl Concert Theater in 2009. She also played at the Caesars Palace venue for "#1 to Infinity" residency in 2015 to 2017.

Aside from her series of Las Vegas residency, Carey also has an upcoming album. In an interview with People, Nick Cannon's former wife revealed a few details about her new LP, which some songs would be "lighthearted and fun" while others would be incredibly deep when it comes to lyrical content.

"I've been working on my new album for a while. This is a labor of love and I'm really excited," she told the site," she said. "This is me at this moment in my life being able to express myself as a writer and a singer. I'm just really in a good place."

Carey also revealed her album would be competing with the current music today, but she cleared she is not following "anybody else's trends." She went on explaining her fans wanted to hear her expressing herself, speaking, and singing from her heart. She also said her new album would contain "nice cross-section of things."
