Maddox Jolie Pitt displayed what a perfect son should do during his mother's tough times. That is because he was present during Angelina Jolie's bitter divorce and custody battle with estranged husband, Brad Pitt.
For the past two years, Pitt and Jolie have been going at it both in court and in the public eye. It seems their son has been exemplary, too.
According to Celebrity Insider, Maddox is brilliant and kind. He is also responsible for looking after his siblings, namely, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10. He makes sure that they are always taken care of.
The publication states that a person close to the family confirmed about Maddox being a lot closer to her mom. The latter, on the other hand, has been leaning on him since her divorce with Pitt.
The friend was quoted saying, "Angelina's relationship with Maddox has never been stronger, they've always had a special connection, but since the divorce, their bond has only strengthened."
Those above added that the two often rely on each other. "He's always been wise beyond his years, but since her split with Brad, he's proven his maturity and wisdom is much greater than that of the average 17-year-old," the tipster adds.
It is also said that Maddox has gone above and beyond to help out with his younger siblings. Angelina has given him the go-ahead to do the teenage thing and take off with his friends. However, Maddox would insist on sticking around, so he can be with her and his siblings.
"It's amazing how selfless he is; he isn't the average teenager. He's one of Angeline's greatest sources of pride and strength; she lights up whenever she talks about him," the friend mentioned.
Meanwhile, Jolie is working hard to erase every memory of Brad. She reportedly does not want him to be part of her life anymore.
Another source claimed that the days of Jolie missing Pitt have long been well and truly passed. Right now, the "Wanted" actress just wants him to be out of her life. Angelina even resents having anything to do with Brad and, at the same time, and wishes to forget his existence.
Maddox was previously reported before about telling his mum to live with his dad, New Idea Magazine reports. But considering the turn of events, this seems to be a thing of the past.
