Things are not going well between former couple Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani. The 51-year-old musician-actor is said to be jealous of his ex-wife's boyfriend, Blake Shelton, who is getting a lot closer to their three kids lately.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani are in mediation over their current custody agreement. The ex-spouses reportedly do not agree on the current custody agreement, and the time the kids are spending with each of them.

According to a source (via E! News), the "Love Remains the Same" hitmaker will be home more often since he finally wrapped up his tour with rock band Bush. That being said, he wants to spend more time with their sons - 12-year-old Kingston, 10-year-old Zuma Nesta Rock, and four-year-old Apollo Bowie Flynn.

Gwen Stefani, however, is not too keen on the idea as she believes that she provides a consistent living environment and that the kids should be with her the majority of the time. She also wants to raise their kids in a certain way, which would be very challenging for her ex-husband because he has different priorities.

"[The kids] they are older now and taking their school work and activities seriously," the source told the news outlet. "[Gwen Stefani] she thinks Gavin still very much lives a rock star lifestyle and it's in the kid's best interest to be with her," the source added.

After spending an entire day in mediation over the current custody agreement together, it was learned that the problems reportedly stemmed from Gavin Rossdale's jealousy about how close his sons have gotten to his ex-wife's boyfriend, Blake Shelton. Adding fuel to the fire, the three kids are said to be always raving about the latter - from how wonderful he is and all of the fun things they get to do with him.

"They needed professional help," a different insider said, as quoted by Celebrity Insider. "Gavin feels replaced, even though he's the one who cheated, he has some anger issues."

 
Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani, who tied the knot in September 2002, announced their split in August 2015. Since then, the former has been romantically linked to German model, Sophia Thomalla. The latter, on the other hand, is dating "The Voice" coach and country music artist, Blake Shelton.
