Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may have thrown in the towel on their marriage, but they are doing their best to become good parents to their six children. A new report suggests that the former couple has finally put an end to their feud.
It came to light when a source told Entertainment Weekly that the 43-year-old actress and filmmaker decided to make things work with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, for the sake of their six children - Maddox Chivan, Pax Thien, Zahara Marley, Shiloh Nouvel, Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline.
The source went on to claim that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have met secretly to call a truce amid an ongoing custody battle. Further details are being kept firmly under wraps for now, but it is alleged that the former couple is going to stay with the plan set forth through the courts.
"Angelina decided it was time to try to make things work and Brad was relieved and very ready for the offer," the publication's source said. "Brad has been dedicated to making peace throughout the process and now it finally seems like they are at a point where they can create a calmer situation for the kids," the source added.
Back in June, Angelina Jolie was ordered by a judge to allow the 54-year-old actor and film producer to spend more quality time with their children, except for Maddox Chivan, 17, who is old enough to decide for himself how often he wants to be with his father.
The news comes shortly after a different source close to Angelina Jolie told Hollywood Life that the "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" star is said to be missing her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, especially now that he is cleaning up his act.
"She knows how much the kids miss the family being together under one roof so once in a while Angelina does wonder if she is doing what is best for all," the source close to the actress added. "And seeing Brad looking so good, she can't help but fight off the feelings of regret as she is reconsiders everything."
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt started dating shortly after they met on the set of the 2005 romantic comedy action film, "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." They got married in 2014 at their estate Chateau Miraval in France. The pair, however, decided to go their separate ways in September 2016.
