There is rumor suggesting that Ellen DeGeneres dumped Bethenny Frankel as a friend. This narrative came from a tabloid, but it was already debunked. There is no truth whatsoever behind it.

According to a fake news site National Enquirer, Ellen  DeGeneres stopped associating with the "Real Housewives" star following the cancellation of her talk show "Bethenny" in 2014. She produced the short-lived series, but the tabloid claims the talk show host felt "used" by Frankel during the process.

A supposed insider tells the magazine, "Ellen is the reason her talk show ever aired. Lots of TV executives initially rejected the 'Bethenny' show, but it was Ellen who convinced executives that they were wrong. Ultimately, it was Ellen who was wrong."

The outlet's supposed source continues, "Since the show failed the two of them have had almost zero contact. Bethenny is a great friend when you are helping her out, but after she doesn't need you anymore she moves on." The unreliable magazine does not give a single example of how Frankel supposedly "used" Ellen DeGeneres or why the talk show host feels the reality star was ungrateful. It is always a red flag when a news site - or a tabloid in this matter - fails to provide any real details.

Regardless, the outlet's story is based on claims from an anonymous and seemingly nonexistent "insider," but Frankel's own spokesperson tells Gossip Cop on the record that it is simply "not true." A trusted source close to Ellen DeGeneres also assures the publication that the article is fabricated.

Meanwhile, Frankel has appeared on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show twice since "Bethenny" went off the air in 2014. The reality star most recently visited the show in October 2017 to talk about her humanitarian work in Puerto Rico following the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. Following the appearance, DeGeneres tweeted, "My friend @Bethenny Frankel is doing amazing work for #PuertoRico. You can help too," along with a link to donate to Frankel's charity organization.

That same week, POPSUGAR reports Ellen DeGeneres and Frankel shared the stage together at the "One Voice: Somos Live" benefit concert to raise funds for disaster relief. Simply put, the two women have had plenty of contact since the cancelation of the reality star's talk show in 2014. The tabloid's baseless story, which does not actually give a reason for DeGeneres being angry at Frankel, just is not true. There are pieces of evidence suggesting otherwise.
