Model Park Young Sun and television personality Ahn Hyun Mo had nothing but good words for actor Song Joong Ki. This after the latter commemorated the last day of Chuseok holiday, also known as Korean Thanksgiving Day, by sharing his blessings to others through voluntary work.
On Sept. 26, Wednesday, Song Joong Ki took some time off his busy schedule to visit a homeless shelter and personally packed lunch boxes. This was said to be his way of giving back for all the blessings that he received for the past year.
The 33-year-old Hallyu star's generous deed was revealed through a series of photos uploaded by Park Young Sun and Ahn Hyun Mo. Both of them also volunteered during the last day of Chuseok holiday.
"After living diligently, a day like this comes. Scooping up side dishes next to Song Joong Ki," Ahn Hyun Mo wrote in an Instagram post. "I thought he was only the 'Descendants of the Sun,' but he actually turned out to be a descendant of angels," she added.

This is not the first time Song Joong Ki has been praised for his outstanding act of kindness. Back in 2016, it was revealed that "The Innocent Man" star has been regularly making secret donations to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation (KCLF) since 2011. More than 10 children have received medications for childhood cancer with the funds he has donated anonymously throughout the years.
"Song Joong Ki wanted to do this quietly, but it seems like it was revealed through the blog post," Song Joong Ki's agency, Blossom Entertainment, said in a statement obtained by Soompi at the time. "He's been donating regularly since 2011."
Song Joong Ki also donated a portion of his profits from his "2016 Asia Tour Fan Meeting" to an unnamed foundation in China. The donation was used to help the area affected by the earthquake in Wenchuan, West Sichuan.
As of press time, Song Joong Ki is busy preparing for the upcoming historical TV series tentatively titled "The Chronicles of Aseudal." He is set to play Eun Seom, a cursed child who later becomes the conqueror of Asadal and transforms it from city-state to empire.
Also starring in the said TV series are Jang Dong Gun as Ta Gon, an ambitious war hero among the Saenyeok Tribe; Kim Ji Won as Tan Ya, a woman who was born with the same fate as Eun Seom; and Kim Ok Vin as Tae Ha, the last surviving Noeantal, a race different from humans.
"The Chronicles of Aseudal" is expected to premiere sometime in 2019 on tvN.
