Over the past few weeks, rumors have been making the rounds that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin secretly tied the knot. Just like many fans, Selena Gomez also cannot believe that her former flame married someone else.

It came to light when a source revealed to Hollywood Life that Selena Gomez is allegedly having a hard time accepting that Justin Bieber has completely moved on and may have tied the knot with Hailey Baldwin.

"Selena has known all along Justin got married and she can't believe it," the source said. "It really has been a tough adjustment for her and it is still hard to wrap her head around. It's really throwing her for a loop and she can't believe that it is a real thing. It was just so unexpected," the source added.

It can be recalled that Selena Gomez began dating Justin Bieber in late 2010 and shortly made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Vanity Fair Oscar party hosted by Graydon Carter held at Sunset Tower on Feb. 27, 2011, in West Hollywood, California.

In November 2012, it was confirmed that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber went their separate ways due to their respective busy schedules. They, then, reconciled a few weeks later before splitting up again in January 2013.

Late in 2017, it was reported that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber had gotten back together again. However, they broke up again in March 2018. Soon afterward, it was reported that the latter is engaged to Hailey Baldwin.

Since then, rumors suggest that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin secretly tied the knot on Sept. 13, the same day they obtained their marriage license, at a courthouse in New York. The ceremony was reportedly officiated by preacher Jeffrey Quinn.

This could also be the reason why Selena Gomez decided to take a break from social media. In an Instagram post, the 26-year-old award-winning singer and actress posted a mirror selfie and in the caption, she told her followers that she would not be posting for a while.

 
"Update: taking a social media break. Again," she captioned the image. "As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given. Kindness and encouragement only for a bit!"
