Couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are said to be looking to sever ties with rapper Kanye West over his recent 10-minute speech at the White House.
It came to light when a source close to John Legend and Chrissy Teigen told Hollywood Life that the two are upset with Kanye West's behavior lately, but do not want to publicly bash him because they believed it would not solve anything.
Instead, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen would love to talk to Kanye West privately to make him aware of their feelings. Through this, they hope that the rappers understand where they are coming from and eventually see things from their perspective.
"But they also know there might come a moment where they just have to separate from their friendship because they don't see eye to eye which would be sad, but they don't want to surround themselves with negative energy," the source said if Kanye West keeps up the bizarre ranting.
The source went on to explain: "Chrissy and John are very happy, level-headed people and they will always choose to live their lives that way. They take zero comfort having drama in their life. And Kanye equals drama but they also want to give him a chance."
It can be recalled that John Legend was one of the people who privately reached out to Kanye West when he first revealed his support for President Donald Trump. The 39-year-old singer-songwriter texted the rapper and asked him to reconsider his point of view because of the power and influence he has on his fans.
However, Kanye West responded by accusing John Legend of trying to use fear to manipulate his free thought. The 41-year-old rapper and singer-songwriter, then, posted a screenshot of their text exchange on Twitter.
Thankfully, Kanye West and John Legend managed to work things out that time. Soon afterward, the latter's wife, Chrissy Teigen, also clarified that there is no bad blood between the two despite reports suggesting otherwise.
