"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" fans should brace themselves for a rollercoaster episode. The spoilers and predictions for the show's 78th episode are here, teasing the much-awaited reunion between Mitsuki (voiced by Ryuichi Kijima) and Team 7.
Before "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 78, here is a quick recap of what happened in the latest episode. The 77th episode, titled "A Fierce Enemy: Garaga's Ferocious Attack," continued with Boruto Uzumaki (voiced by Yūko Sanpei) and his team - Sarada Uchiha (voiced by Kokoro Kikuchi), Shikadai Nara (voiced by Kensho Ono), Inojin Yamanaka (voiced by Atsushi Abe) and Chocho Akimichi (voiced by Ryoko Shiraishi) - working hard to obtain Garaga's (voiced by Masashi Nogawa) reverse scale.
Boruto Uzumaki (voiced by Yūko Sanpei) and his team, however, had a hard time as Garaga possessed a unique ability that detects the opponents' exact location and turns them into stone. In the midst of battle, the team came up with a successful strategy to subdue him.
However, Boruto Uzumaki opts not to remove the reverse scale after he saw into his sorrowful past of betrayal from his former summoner. The inhabitant of the Ryuchi Cave entered into a summoning contract with a shinobi when he was young.
In one of their battles, his summoner wanted to retreat, but Garaga wanted to keep on fighting. Thus, the summoner betrayed him and attacked him with Lightning Release, which blinded his right eye. Due to this, Boruto Uzumaki proposed a deal with him; Garaga would appear every time he summons him.
Now, the spoilers and predictions for the upcoming 78th episode of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" suggest that Garaga would accept Boruto Uzumaki's offer. They will, then, return to the White Snake Sage (voiced by Hiroko Suzuki).
There, Boruto Uzumaki summons Garaga before the White Snake Sage, technically upholding his promise of bringing her the reverse scale. The latter will, then, reveal the secret thoughts inside Mitsuki's snake.
"After their trouble with Garaga, the White Snake Sage will finally use his power to Mitsuki's snake," the "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 78 synopsis reads, as quoted by Toribaze. "It is also revealed that Mitsuki was taken by the Ninjas of Hidden Stone: Kokuyo, Sekiei, and the others. The Ninjas and Mitsuki are heading toward the Land of Earth. Having this information, Boruto and is group will also make their way to the Land of Earth."
"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 78 will air on Oct. 21, Sunday.
