Red Dead Redemption 2 PC listing was reportedly leaked on October 20, which spilled the beans the open-world western will come to the platform.

However, according to comicbook, the listing was nothing but only a placeholder even if the leak was true. An official representative of MediaMrkt, the largest European retailer of consumer electronics, spoke to Wccftech and confirmed that the listing was indeed a placeholder.

After all, the company believes the game will eventually arrive at the platform. The representative says it is true Red Dead Redemption 2 PC version was listed and was told it was a placeholder after checking with their HQ's games department. In addition, they were expecting the list to be announced sometime in the future.

This has the same situation with GTA 5 but is no longer listed available for pre-purchase. The retailer representative also notes Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar Games) came to PC eight months after arriving on consoles. Therefore, it is possible Red Dead Redemption will get a similar treatment. In the end, no one knows what's going to happen next since the first Red Dead Redemption did not leave the consoles yet.

At the moment, what we needed to do is to wait for the Rockstar Games to have an official announcement of the details. This sequel of Red Dead Redemption is set to be released worldwide on October 26. Gamers can expect to launch it next week through Play Station 4 and Xbox One. Here is the game's official synopsis:

"America, 1899. The end of the Wild West era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed."

Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde were left with no choice but to flee after a robbery gone wrong in the western town of Blackwater. Federal agents and best bounty hunters of the nation has massed on their heels as the gang must steal, rob, and fight their way across the rugged heartland of United States of America for them to survive.

Concluding the story is how Morgan can make a decision between his own ideas and his loyalty to the gang who raised him. The deepening internal divisions in Red Dead Redemption 2 threaten to tear the gang apart.

Follow-up reports will be revealed once Rockstar Games make its official announcement on whether the game is to be released on console or PC version.
