Things are starting to heat up in "The Voice" season 15. Ahead of the show's premiere date, singer-songwriter Mariah Carey announced that she is joining the cast as a key advisor and mentor.
Mariah Carey made the exciting announcement during her guest appearance on NBC's "Today Show" last Tuesday, Oct. 23. She will bring her vast songwriting, singing and over-all performance knowledge to coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson's teams during the knockout rounds.
"The sessions with the contestants, some of them have completely blown me away," Mariah Carey said when asked about working with the fresh new talent, as quoted by Entertainment Tonight. "It's like a humbling experience to be around all the raw talent."
Mariah Carey went on to admit that she sometimes get caught up in her musical world as a singer and said working with up and coming artists gave her the chance to step back a little and appreciate what others are bringing to the table regarding their contributions as artists.

Mariah Carey, who debuted in 1990 with the self-titled "Mariah Carey" studio album, is the best-selling female artist of all time. She has sold more than 200 million albums to date and 18 Billboard Hot 100 #1 singles, more than any solo artist in history.
As a way of giving back to the fans, Mariah Carey is set to hold a series of concerts dubbed "Caution World Tour" in 2019. The said concert will kick off on Feb. 27, 2019, at the Pavilion At Toyota Music Factory in Dallas.
From there, Mariah Carey will head to Houston, Biloxi, Atlanta, Louisville, Detroit, Indianapolis, Chicago, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, St. Louis and Pittsburgh. She will also spend two nights in Ontario, Canada with gigs in Toronto and Rama.
The "Caution World Tour" will, then, wrap up with concerts centered on the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic starting on March 23, 2019, at the Shea's Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, before heading to New York City, Boston, Atlantic City, Washington D.C, Philadelphia, Wallingford and Bethlehem.
During the concert, Mariah Carey is expected to perform several tracks from her upcoming 15th studio album, "Caution." The said tracks include "The Distance (feat. Ty Dolla $ign)," "GTFO" and "With You." Tickets will go on sale on Friday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. local time.
