Are Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez engaged? That is the question that seems to be on many fans' minds after the 49-year-old singer and actress showed off a huge diamond ring on her left hand.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez took some time off their busy schedules and watched the game two of MLB World Series in Boston on Wednesday, Oct. 24. At the time, the latter posted a selfie video on his Instagram account, pretending to do play by play with the score and asked his girlfriend for a pitching signal.

As she does, a huge diamond ring on her left hand can be seen. This instantly sparked speculation that the 43-year-old former New York Yankees star finally popped the question to the award-winning actress after more than one year of dating.

Neither Jennifer Lopez nor Alex Rodriguez would confirm nor deny the engagement news. But many Instagram followers, including several from close friends, were quick to offer their congratulations.

The engagement speculations come shortly after news broke that Jennifer Lopez has been slowing down her hectic schedule lately as she allegedly prepares for domesticated married life. She is said to be putting her projects on hold and is spending more time in New York with his boyfriend in their luxury Manhattan home.

"Jen's [Jennifer Lopez] been pushing for this," an unnamed insider told Radar Online, before adding, "She wants them to be a family together. Luckily, Alex feels the same way. When she suggested they move in together, he said okay!"

The insider went on to say that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez want their big day to be as grand and extravagant as possible. The former is said to be sold on the idea of a three-day event with famous friends performing the music and a ton of activities for guests. As for the wedding date, they are allegedly planning to exchange vows early next year in the Hamptons.

In the meantime, Jennifer Lopez has been tapped to headline Peter Segal's upcoming romantic comedy film, "Second Act." She will play Maya, an ordinary woman who gets a chance to fulfill her career ambitions when a private finance firm suddenly hires her to handle a major business deal. It is set to be released in the United States on Dec. 21.
