"One Piece" fans should brace themselves for an intense episode. The spoilers and predictions for the upcoming chapter 923 are here, teasing the much-awaited battle between Monkey D. Luffy and Kaido of the Beasts.
Before that, here is a quick recap of what happened in the latest chapter of "One Piece." The 922nd chapter started with Kaido of the Beasts flying around Kuri Region looking for Monkey D. Luffy and Trafalgar D. Water Law after their alliance took down Caesar Clown and Donquixote Doflamingo's SMILE operations.
While flying over the region, Kaido of the Beasts recognized Shutenmaru - the leader of the Atamayama Thieves - and asked him to become his subordinate, revealing himself to be drunk in the process. Jack the Drought, then, remarked that the former was at risk of destroying the entire region.
To stop his rampage, Basil Hawkins informed Kaido of the Beasts that Monkey D. Luffy and Trafalgar D. Water Law were hiding in the ruins of Oden Castle. While the duo was not at Oden Castle, much of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai alliance were there.
Upon his arrival, Kaido of the Beasts unleashed a devastating fire breath that instantly obliterated the remains of Oden Castle. He, however, was hit in the head by a giant punch (Gomu Gomu no Elephant Gun) from Monkey D. Luffy.
Now, it is likely that "One Piece" chapter 923 will see the aftermath of Kaido of the Beasts' attack on the ruins of Oden Castle. According to Econo Times, some of the Straw Hat Pirates, Heart Pirates, Carrot and Shinobu manage to get away safely from the ruins way before Kaido of the Beasts' attack.
The much-awaited battle between Monkey D. Luffy, Trafalgar D. Water Law vs. Kaido of the Beasts will also kick off in "One Piece" chapter 923. However, there is no way that the two can win the battle.
Instead, Monkey D. Luffy and Trafalgar D. Water Law will likely end up in the same cell as Eustass "Captain" Kid. From there onwards, the trio will probably join forces to raid the Onigashima Island and take down Kaido of the Beasts once and for all.
"I'm sure Kaido will not be pleased after being hit by Luffy in the head and being tossed down to the ground," OtakuKart's Wamiq Fida speculated. "Luffy has incurred the wrath of a Yonko here, and Kaido will absolutely wreck him."
"One Piece" chapter 923 is set to arrive on Nov. 5.
