Kanye West had been vocal about his political stance. He was never afraid to admit to the general public his support for President Donald Trump. However, in what seems to be a surprising turn, the American rapper said he wants to distance himself from politics.

According to BBC News, Kanye West announced on Twitter his decision to leave politics behind. He said that it was using him to "spread messages" that he does not believe in. As mentioned, he has been a vocal supporter of Trump. His decision is not related to the POTUS.

It turns out that Kanye West's decision to distance politics roots from a campaign he was directly linked to. It is reportedly known as Blexit. The latter is run by Candace Owens, who is a Conservative commentator. The campaign's goal is to encourage black Americans to withdraw their support from the Democratic Party.

Owens claims that Kanye West had once designed clothing specifically for the aforementioned campaigned. However, Kim Kardashian's husband denies the claims and says it is far from reality. The American rapper-songwriter eventually explained to Twitter that his eyes are now "wide open." With the revelation he had, he says he will be "distancing" himself from politics. At the same time, he will start shifting his focus and resources on creativity. Judging from the tweet, there is no doubt that West wants to exit the world of politics.

Posting on his Twitter account, which features about 28.7 million followers, Kanye West that he has been a person who wants to create and support opportunities. He claims that he has been successful in creating jobs, giving people who need work the most a chance to recover.

Kanye West even went to say that he also supported prison form, something that created a controversy out of him in the past. Moreover, he talked about this support towards "common-sense gun laws," which he believes will be significant in making the world a lot safe than now, CNBC reports.

Of course, this is not the first time that Kanye West clarified his political stance. Earlier this year, he was under scrutiny after saying that the 13th Amendment of the US Constitution should be abolished. It is worth noting that the amendment helped in putting an end to slavery.

Later on, however, Kanye West clarified that he did not intend to create a negative idea. He said that he simply wanted to "amend" it.
