Things are about to get more exciting in "Goblin Slayer." The spoilers and predictions for the upcoming sixth episode are here, teasing the arrival of a new character named Sword Maiden.
Before that, here is a quick recap of what happened in the latest episode of "Goblin Slayer." The fifth episode, titled "Adventures and Daily Life," picked up three days after the grueling battle with the Ogre, one of the Demon Lord's generals.
It started with Goblin Slayer (voiced by Yūichirō Umehara) helping his childhood friend Cow Girl (voiced by Yuka Iguchi) carted supplies to town. There, he met High Elf Archer (voiced by Nao Tōyama), Dwarf Shaman (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura) and Lizard Priest (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita) and informed them he is now more open to the idea of exploring more ruins with them after what happened in Elven lands.
Soon afterward, Goblin Slayer can be seen visiting the Blacksmith to repair his gear and get a new Gate Scroll, but to no avail. Hence, he decided to help out at the guild, in which he acted as an observer for a promotion exam.
During the said promotion exam, Guild Girl (voiced by Maaya Uchida) punished a rhea scout for stealing loot from his party. Enraged, the rhea scout considered attacking Guild Girl but is dissuaded by Goblin Slayer's strong presence. The episode, then, ended with the arrival of a new special quest - one from a new character named Sword Maiden.
Now, EconoTimes reported Sword Maiden would play a big role in "Goblin Slayer" moving forward. The said character is a former gold-ranked adventurer who now serves as the Temple of Law's Archbishop of the Supreme God.
In the popular dark fantasy manga series, Sword Maiden is an extremely beautiful woman whose eyes are often covered with a blindfold. She is described as a calm and serene person who possesses both religious and political influence. She is also considered as one of the most powerful humans on the planet, undoubtedly being a master swords-woman.
Sword Maiden, who also have a deep-rooted hatred and fear of goblins, will reportedly enlist Goblin Slayer and his party - High Elf Archer, Dwarf Shaman, Lizard Priest, Priestess (voiced by Yui Ogura) - to slay the goblins infesting the sewers underneath Water Town, the city her temple oversees.
"Goblin Slayer" episode 6, titled "Goblin Slayer in the Water Town," is set to air on Nov. 11.
