Things are not looking good for Goblin Slayer (voiced by Yuichiro Umehara). The spoilers and predictions for "Goblin Slayer" episode 7 suggest the character will go up against a rare variant of the goblin race called Goblin Champion.
Before that, here is a quick recap (via Anime News Network) of what happened in the latest episode of "Goblin Slayer." In the sixth episode, titled "Goblin Slayer in the Water Town," Goblin Slayer and his party - High Elf Archer (voiced by Nao Toyama), Dwarf Shaman (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura), Lizard Priest (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita) and Priestess (voiced by Yui Ogura) - headed to the Water Town.
There, they met Sword Maiden (voiced by Aya Endo), a former gold-ranked adventurer who currently serves as the Temple of Law's Archbishop of the Supreme God. The latter personally enlisted their help to slay goblins infesting the sewers underneath the town.
Goblin Slayer agreed to the quest and led the party into the sewers, where they discovered the goblins have learned to use boats to navigate the area. After sinking a goblin boat, the party attracted the attention of a giant alligator.
They, then, took advantage of the said giant alligator by tricking it into destroying the rest of the goblin fleet. Despite the success of the mission, Goblin Slayer cannot help but wonder how the goblins knew how to use boats, yet were unaware of the existence of the giant alligator. Hence, he concluded that somebody had deliberately placed the goblins in the sewers.
Now, the spoilers and predictions for "Goblin Slayer" episode 7 suggest that the next episode will focus on the second day of the quest. Goblin Slayer, High Elf Archer, Dwarf Shaman, Lizard Priest, and Priestess will be seen doing whatever it takes to find out who intentionally place the goblins in the sewers underneath the town.
"The goblins down there did not multiply naturally," Goblin Slayer said in the 30-second preview for "Goblin Slayer" episode 7. "Someone, or something, is artificially causing all this," he concluded.
However, things will not be easy for Goblin Slayer and his party as Goblin Champion will suddenly show up along with a horde of goblin race. An encounter with the latter will reportedly left him critically injured and near-death. Thus, he will need the Resurrection Magic by Sword Maiden and Priestess to help him recover.
"Goblin Slayer" episode 7, titled "Onward unto Death," is set to arrive on Nov. 17.
