South Korean actor Park Bo Gum, who gained widespread fame after starring in 2016's "Love in the Moonlight," is coming to Asia. He will be visiting several Asian countries starting next year.

The exciting news came to light when Blossom Entertainment announced on its Facebook page that Park Bo Gum would hold another fan meeting tour overseas. The event, dubbed "Park Bo Gum 2019 Asia Tour," will kick off in Seoul, South Korea on Jan. 26, 2019.

It will be followed by another fan meeting event in Japan on Feb. 3, 2019, Thailand on Feb. 16, 2019, and Hong Kong on March 16, 2019. He will also be visiting Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, with the exact dates to be announced later.

While nothing is set in stone yet, Park Bo Gum is expected to spice up the meet-and-greet event by showing different sides of him that have not been known to many and a photo op session with the international fans. He will also participate in several games with lucky fans.

Park Bo Gum started his acting career by playing a supporting role in the 2011 thriller film, "Blind." Since then, he starred in several dramas, including the 2012 period drama "Bridal Mask," 2013's "Wonder Mama," 2014's "Wonderful Days," 2015's "Hello Monster," and "Reply 1988."

He then landed his first major lead role in the hit historical drama, "Love in the Moonlight," opposite actress Kim Yoo Jung. The drama's immense success in Asia cemented his status as a Hallyu star.

Currently, Park Bo Gum is starring in tvN's melodrama "Encounter" opposite veteran actress Song Hye Kyo. He plays Kim Jin Hyuk, a freewheeling, ordinary young man who finds joy in the simplest things.

While on vacation in Cuba, Spain, Kim Jin-Hyuk meets a cold-hearted and snobbish woman, Cha Soo Hyun (Song Hye Kyo). The latter is a daughter of a prominent politician in South Korea.

"['Encounter'] is a romance drama that tells the story of characters Cha Soo Hyun and Kim Jin Hyuk who fatefully meet inside of a space that feels as if you're watching a scene from an old movie," Park Bo Gum said in the three-minute video, as translated by Soompi. "I think that it's a drama that you shouldn't and can't miss."

Also starring in "Encounter" are Jang Seung Jo, Baek Ji Won, Ko Chang Seok, Shin Jung Keun, Kim Hye Eun, and Nam Gi Ae. It airs every Wednesday and Thursday on tvN.
