It may not be his actual birthday yet, but BTS member Jin (whose real name is Kim Seok Jin) received an early birthday gift from fans.
On Monday, Dec.3, the group's official fan club ARMY donated 344 sets of feminine hygiene products (worth about 6 million won) to his hometown of Gwacheon in Gyeonggi Province in celebration of his upcoming 26th birthday.
According to Soompi, the said feminine hygiene products will be distributed to 86 female students from low-income families. Each student will receive at least four sets, which will last for 10 months. A representative from the group's official fan club, ARMY, said: "We hope that this donation can convey the sincere and warm heart that Jin shows on a daily basis."
Moreover, the hashtags #HappyJinDay, #ShiningAndPreciousJin, #OurEpiphanyJin, #석진이는_온_세상의_빛 ("Seokjin is the worldwide light") also became the No. 1 worldwide trending topic on Twitter.
In response, Jin shared a handwritten letter on their fan cafe and official Twitter account - thanking everyone for their birthday wishes. He is also extremely grateful for the overwhelming love and support he received from the public ever since he debuted as a member of BTS in 2013.

"ARMYs' happiness is my biggest happiness," Jin wrote in the handwritten letter, as translated by All Kpop. "Each year, I prepared something fun for you guys but I wasn't able to do much this year so that's unfortunate TT I'll work harder to always show great side of me and present good content. I love you," he added.
Jin is the oldest member and vocalist of BTS. As a solo artist, he previously collaborated with fellow BTS member V (Kim Tae Hyung) for the soundtrack of the 2016-2017 historical drama "Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth" titled "It's Definitely You."
He also released an alternate version of "So Far Away" alongside fellow BTS members Jungkook (whose real name is Jeon Jung Kook) and Suga (whose real name is Min Yoon Gi) and had made several appearances as a co-host for Korean music award shows such as Music Bank.
As of press time, Jin is hitting the road for the fourth leg of the "BTS World Tour: Love Yourself" along with fellow BTS members V, Jungkook, Suga, J-Hope (whose real name is Jung Ho Seok), Rap Monster/RM (whose real name is Kim Nam Joon) and Jimin (whose real name is Park Ji Min).
