It will not be long before fans see INFINITE's L back on the small screen. The 26-year-old singer and actor is said to be in negotiations to play the lead role in an upcoming KBS 2TV drama tentatively titled "Just One Love."
The exciting news came to light when his management agency, Woollim Entertainment (via Soompi), revealed on Monday, Dec. 10 that INFINITE's L has received an offer to play the lead male role in the new KBS 2TV drama. Currently, he is reviewing the script and is considering the offer positively.
If he accepts it, INFINITE's L will transform into an optimist yet troublemaker angel, Dan, who receives a mission that could allow him to return to Heaven. His mission is to find true love for a beautiful heiress to a wealthy conglomerate, Lee Yeon Seo (Shin Hye Sun), who dreams of becoming a ballerina.
Lee Yeon Seo, however, gives up her dream after losing her eyesight due to an unexpected accident. Since then, she no longer believes in love. Things, however, take a different turn when Dan finds himself falling in love with her.
The upcoming drama will benefit from the creativity of producing director Lee Jung Sub, whose previous works include the 2017 historical drama "Queen For Seven Days," 2014-2015 drama "Healer" and the hit 2012 drama "Ohlala Couple." The script will be penned by screenwriter Choi Yoon Kyo ("Lucky Romance").
"Just One Love" is expected to premiere in May 2019 on KBS 2TV. More in-depth details about the project will be revealed soon.
INFINITE's L, whose real name is Kim Myung Soo, last appeared in the JTBC legal drama "Ms. Hammurabi" along with Go Ara ("Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth"), Sung Dong Il ("The Legend of the Blue Sea"), Ryu Deok Hwan ("Quiz from God 4"), and Lee Elijah ("Fight for My Way"). The drama, which aired on JTBC from May 21 to July 16 for 16 episodes, was well-received by the public for its fresh perspective of judges and its ensemble cast.
"I received a lot of compliments for my recent TV drama work, but in my eyes, I have a lot to improve on," the INFINITE member said in an accompanying interview with fashion magazine Singles, as quoted by Inquirer.net. "To explain it in a gaming way, I think 'L' is at a level to some degree but Kim Myung-soo as an actor has only just finished the game tutorial," he added.
