BLACKPINK member, Jennie, recently launched her solo career with her single "Solo." Following her solo debut, the 22-year-old rapper and singer expressed gratitude to her fellow group members for their unwavering support.
Recently, BLACKPINK members Jennie (whose real name is Jennie Kim), Rose (whose real name is Park Chae Young), Jisoo (whose real name is Kim Jisoo) and Lisa (whose real name is Lalisa Manoban) appeared as guests on SBS' "I'll Win You Over with My Channel."
During their appearance, the four-member girl group talked about their experience as video content creators. Jisoo said they filmed all the content on their own using a self-camera without the help of any production crew, remarking it was a lot harder than they thought.
The content of the video includes footage of Rose, Jisoo, and Lisa inside a car while on their way to support fellow member Jennie for her first "Solo" live-performance on SBS' "Inkigayo," also known as "The Music Trend."
Jisoo can also be seen preparing some bottled drinks, which she plans to give out to the staff and crew members of "Inkigayo" in return of taking good care of Jennie. The latter, seeing the footage for the first time, suddenly turned emotional.
She, then, expressed her sincere gratitude to Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa for their love and support. She added (via Soompi): "Watching all the footage of 'Inkigayo' and the members being there to support me, I suddenly got emotional."
Jennie, who debuted as a member of Black Pink in August 2016, made her solo debut as an artist with the released of her first single "Solo" in mid-November 2018. Upon release, the track's official music video has surpassed 14.6 million views and 1.7 million likes on YouTube - surpassing IU's "Palette."
"Solo" topped the iTunes charts in 40 different countries, including the iTunes Worldwide Songs Chart. The single also claimed the number one spot on the Digital and Streaming charts on Billboard and South Korea's Gaon.
As of press time, Jennie alongside fellow members Rose, Jisoo and Lisa are gearing up for their upcoming concert tour dubbed "Black Pink 2019 World Tour [In Your Area]." It will kick off on Jan. 11, 2019 at the Impact Arena in Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thailand.
