Earlier this year, the 55-year-old "Once Upon a Time in China" and "Romeo Must Die" star made his fans worried and shocked due to his frail appearance. According to the South China Morning Post, Li suffered from a spinal problem and hyperthyroidism, a rare condition accelerating the metabolism of the body - causing irregular heartbeat, as well as unintentional weight loss.
Previously, Li said he couldn't to perform stressful physical activities due to his condition. His doctors also warned him back in 2013 he might end up with a wheelchair if he continued performing physically-demanding action films. But the actor noted meditation and scripture reading, as well as his strong belief in Buddhism, helped him stabilized his condition.
Now, the martial arts star assured his fans he is doing great and feeling great after posting a rare picture online. Li seems to be in good health and condition while celebrating the Christmas day. Jada and Jane, Li's daughter with former actress Nina Li Chi whom he married in 1999, were not frequently seen in the spotlight, although he sometimes shares pictures celebrating their achievements.
Back in July 2017, the actor shared a photo of Jane on his Instagram wherein she was invited as a guest speaker for She-Era 2017 Global Conference on Women and Entrepreneurship in Hangzhou, China. During the father's day celebration last year, he also posted a photo of Jada celebrating her charity work with hearing-impaired children.
In October, Li revealed he would play a role in the live-action remake of Disney's Mulan to be released in 2020. He initially turned down the role of the Chinese emperor due to the pay and script, but he eventually agreed at the behest of his daughters.
Meanwhile, in another post, Li thanked his fans for supporting charitable One Foundation which was founded 14 years ago, after he and his family caught up in the Indian Ocean Tsunami. The actor shared he decided to dedicate his life helping disaster relief since then. He also shared they have helped more than 13 million cases and donated over US$300 million.
