South Korean actor Lee Kwang Soo won't be welcoming the new year alone as it has been confirmed that he is happily dating actress and singer, Lee Sun Bin, for five months now.
The good news was confirmed by Lee Kwang Soo's management agency, King Kong by Starship, on Monday, Dec. 31. As per the agency, the two first became good friends through the popular SBS variety show, "Running Man," before it evolved into a romantic relationship.
"Lee Kwang Soo and Lee Sun Bin have been dating for five months," a representative from King Kong By Starship said in a statement obtained by Soompi. "After meeting on 'Running Man,' the two eventually became lovers, and they are currently accompanying each other to gatherings and introducing each other as their significant others."
It can be recalled that Lee Sun Bin appeared as one of the guests on "Running Man" in 2016. During her appearance, she expressed her interest in Lee Kwang Soo and said that the actor's way of bickering makes her think that they were well-suited. In response, the latter joked: "I've decided to start dating Lee Sun Bin. We'll announce our marriage next week."
Lee Kwang Soo, who gained widespread fame after portraying the role of Park Soo Kwang in 2014's "It's Okay, That's Love," is currently one of the regular cast members of "Running Man." He has also been cast to headline the upcoming comedy film, "My Exceptional Brother," alongside veteran actor Shin Ha Kyun, according to Korean Film News.
In the said upcoming comedy film, Lee Kwang Soo plays Dong Goo. He is described as a not very smart man but is in excellent physical condition. Shin Ha Kyun, on the other hand, plays a brilliant man, Se Ha, but has a physical disability.
Lee Kwang Soo and Shin Ha Kyun will be joined by Esom, Park Chul Min, Kwon Hae Hyo, Gil Hae Yeon, and Andup. There is no word on exact release date yet.
As for Lee Sun Bin, there is no word yet on her next project, but fans can check her out in the JTBC action-crime drama "Sketch." In the 16-episode series, she plays a detective, Yoo Shi Hyun, who possesses unique psychic ability to sketch out drawings of what will happen three days in the future.
