A new report claims Ellen DeGeneres is quitting her daytime talk show so she can have kids with wife Portia de Rossi. This story, however, was confirmed to be a false and made-up report.
Recently, the talks show host and comedian extended her "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" until the summer of 2020. Now, Life & Style magazine claims she's leaving the daytime talk show for good when her contract ended.
According to the alleged source of the outlet, Warner Bros - which produces the talk show - has offered DeGeneres an enormous salary just to stay with her show, but she allegedly promised de Rossi nothing would change her mind this time.
The tipster contends the talk show host has finally made up her mind and decided to step back so she and her wife can finally start a family. The spouses are now looking forward to the future, as per the source, and they will either get a surrogate or adopt a baby.
However, the tabloid's claim is likely based on the recent interview of DeGeneres with the New York Times, where she revealed de Rossi wants her to leave her daytime talk show. It can be noted that the TV host didn't mention anything, such as her wife asked her to quit Hollywood.
De Rossi said her wife is a brilliant actress and stand-up, and there are other things she could tackle. She even suggested that DeGeneres could host a podcast or a radio show.
According to Gossip Cop, Life & Style is only making a false narrative claiming de Rossi wants her to retire and quit Hollywood, but she never suggested such things to the talk show host.
Back in 2016, DeGeneres also admitted during an interview with the Daily Telegraph that she and de Rossi talked about having kids early on their relationship, but they have decided they "don't want their conversations to be interrupted" and "don't want sticky grape juice on their furniture." So, she was likely implying they've decided not to have kids anymore.
Meanwhile, a source close to DeGeneres also told Gossip Cop that the claim is entirely false and made-up, and the couple isn't having a baby. Regarding the future of the daytime talk show, an insider from Warner Bros. also confirmed to Gossip Cop that the TV host would renew her contract past 2020. Hence, the idea that she's quitting her show to have kids is completely absurd.
