The new romantic comedy television series "Romance Supplement (working title)" will not air until Jan. 26. To compensate for the long wait, cable network tvN gave fans a first look at Lee Jong Suk's character.

Earlier this week, tvN (via Soompi) has dropped four still images of Lee Jong Suk as Cha Eun Ho, a prodigy and genius writer who is also the publishing company's youngest editor-in-chief. While he is cold and precise when it comes to work, he is said to have a warm personality when it comes to his personal relationships.

Opposite Lee Jong Suk is actress Lee Na Young ("Ireland" and "Ruler of Your Own World") who will play Kang Dan Yi, a former rising star in the copywriting community. During her university days, she won various prestigious writing contests.

Due to this, she is deemed overqualified for many entry-level positions. Desperate, she decides to pretend she is a high school dropout and eventually lands a temporary job at Cha Eun Ho's publishing company. The story takes a sudden turn when the two begin to develop romantic feelings for each other.

In addition to Lee Jong Suk and Lee Na Young, "Romance Supplement" also stars Kim Tae Woo ("Goodbye Mr. Black") as chief executive officer (CEO) Kim Jae Min, Kim Sun Young ("Legend of the Blue Sea") as Seo Young Ah, Wi Ha Joon ("Something in the Rain") as Ji Seo Joon, Jung Yoo Jin ("Moorim School") as Song Hae Rin, Kim Yoo Mi ("Can We Fall in Love, Again?") as Go Yoo Sun, Jo Han Chul as Bong Ji Hong, Park Gyu Young as Oh Ji Yool and Kang Ki Doong as Park Hoon.

"Romance Supplement" has been hailed as one of the most anticipated TV series of the year since it marks Lee Na Young's return to the small screen after a nine-year hiatus. It is also Lee Jong Suk's first romantic comedy series ever since he debuted as an actor in 2010, as per The Korea Times.

Adding to the excitement is producing director Lee Jung Hyo, whose previous projects include 2018's "Life on Mars," 2017's "Criminal Minds" and 2016's "The Good Wife." Screenwriter Jung Hyun Jung ("Five Enough" and "My First Time") is also on board to pen the drama's script.

"Romance Supplement" will take over tvN's Saturday-Sunday (9:00 PM KST) time slot, currently occupied by Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye starrer "Memories of the Alhambra."
