Are Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin dating? This is the question lingering in the fans' minds after a report claimed that the two are currently traveling through Los Angeles, California together.
Rumors about a brewing romance between Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin started after a post on an online community last Jan. 9, Wednesday, claimed that the two are keeping a low-profile while on vacation in Los Angeles, California. They were also allegedly spotted heading out for dinner along with the former's parents.
However, Son Ye Jin's agency MSTeam Entertainment has denied the rumors that the 36-year-old actress is dating Hyun Bin. They added that she is currently traveling in the United States alone, while her parents are in South Korea.
"This online post is not true," MSTeam Entertainment said in a press statement obtained by Soompi. "Son Ye Jin is currently traveling alone. She usually enjoys traveling alone... Son Ye Jin's parents are also currently in Korea, so it does not even make sense that they ate together in the United States."
Hyun Bin's agency VAST Entertainment also debunked the report and stressed that the entire narrative is made-up. His agency also clarified that the 36-year-old actor is in the United States for promotion and work schedules.
Currently, Hyun Bin is starring in tvN's on-going fantasy suspense television series, "Memories of the Alhambra." In the show, he plays the CEO of an investment company, Yoo Jin Woo, who is also good at developing games.
Due to his interest in augmented reality gaming (AR gaming), Yoo Jin Woo travels to Alhambra, Spain to meet a reclusive genius programmer named Jung See Joo (EXO's Park Chanyeol). He, however, ends up meeting his sister, Jung Hee Joo (Park Shin Hye), who happens to be the owner of the hostel he's staying.
Yoo Jin Woo and Jung Hee Joo, then, get entangled in a mysterious incident after the border between the real world and the AR world built by Jung See Joo begins to disappear. "Memories of the Alhambra" airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 PM (KST) on tvN.
As for Son Ye Jin, there is no word yet on her next project. She last appeared in JTBC's romance drama, "Something in the Rain / Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food," alongside Jung Hae In, Jang So Yeon, Jung Eugene, Joo Min Kyung, Lee Joo Young, and Jang Won Hyung.
