K-drama fans are in for a treat. "Something in the Rain" stars Jung Hae In and Son Ye Jin could make another television series together very soon.

Earlier this week, k-drama fans were abuzz with excitement after hearing that Jung Hae In and Son Ye Jin are in negotiations to headline MBC's new Wednesday-Thursday romance drama tentatively titled "Spring Night."

"Spring Night" will tell a promising love story of a woman, Lee Jung In (Son Ye In), who works as a local librarian. She and her better half start appreciating their relationship more as they prepare for their wedding.

The forthcoming series will benefit from producing director Ahn Pan Seok and screenwriter Kim Eun, who are also behind the JTBC romance drama "Something in the Rain / Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food." It is scheduled to premiere sometime in May.

While Jung Hae In did receive a casting offer, his agency FNC Entertainment made it clear that nothing has been confirmed yet. A representative from the agency said (via Soompi): "'Spring Night' is just one of many dramas that Jung Hae In has received an offer for. Nothing has been confirmed."

As for Son Ye Jin, her agency MSteam Entertainment said the 37-year-old actress has just started reviewing the drama's script. Thus, nothing has been decided yet.

If Jung Hae In and Son Ye Jin end up accepting the offer, it will be their second romance drama to headline together following "Something in the Rain / Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food." In the show, the two respectively played Seo Joon Hee and Yoon Jin Ah, who were good friends before they start dating each other.

Due to its simple yet heartwarming love story, "Something in the Rain / Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food" was a commercial hit and even became one of the highest rated Korean dramas in cable television (tvN network) history. As a result, a three-day reward vacation to Japan was awarded for the entire cast and the crew members last May 29 to 31, 2018.

The 16-episode drama series also stars Jang So Yeon as Seo Kyung Sun, Jung Eugene as Kang Se Young, Joo Min Kyung as Geum Bo Ra, Lee Joo Young as Lee Ye Eun, Jang Won Hyung as Kim Dong Woo, Lee Hwa Ryong as Gong Cheol Goo, Seo Jung Yeon as Jung Young In, Lee Chang Hoon as Choi Joong Mo, Park Hyuk Kwon as Nam Ho Gyun and Wi Ha Joon as Yoon Seung Ho.
