There is no denying that Caitriona Balfe is among the most popular actresses of her generation - thanks STARZ series, Outlander, for giving her a platform to showcase her exemplary acting prowess. Aside from being an actress-model, the 39-year-old on-screen partner of Sam Heughan is also known for always speaking her mind.

Recently, Caitriona Balfe left a bad remark during the recently-concluded Oscars 2019 after it decided to present four awards during commercial breaks. So that you know, some awards were given during commercial breaks since the airing of the awards night was squeezed into three hours.

The leading lady of Sam Heughan expressed her disappointed on "f*****d up decisions" thru a series of tweets.  Among the awards given off air are Live Action Shorts, Hair and Make-up, Editing, and Cinematography. Caitriona Balfe said all awards are equally important, especially to everyone who is involved in producing the films.

"Movie making is a collaborative experience with each and every cog in the wheel playing an essential role in the making of whatever project," Caitriona Balfe wrote on her tweet. "No one part of the endeavour is more important or more valuable than the rest," Sam Heughan's on-screen ladylove added.

Caitriona Balfe added that, even if the above-mentioned citations were not part of the major awards, The Academy should understand that the people behind the camera also play important roles in the film-making process. The Outlander star said that she was "disgusted" by the decision and underscored that everyone should be given a chance to shine.

Meanwhile, Caitriona Balfe said, during STARZ Fiercely Female panel at the Television Critics Association press tour, that she never expected to get a total of four consecutive Golden Globe nominations for the Outlander series. The on-screen partner of Sam Heughan she could not believe that she was given such importance.

The actress even shared that she did not have time to know her name when she successfully got the role of Clair Fraser. Caitriona Balfe even said that, during the early days of Outlander, she was just a broke and out-of-work artist who just wants to have a job.

The Irish actress and Sam Heughan are set to reprise their roles in the up-and-coming Outlander Season 5 and Season 6. Reports suggest that the production for the fifth installment will start very soon. However, no other official details were made public up to this writing.
