Alderman Ray Price (played by Wendell Pierce) will be back on Chicago PD season 6 in an upcoming episode. The shrewd politician, who first appeared in season 5, was re-introduced in the series in Chicago PD season 6 episode 13, which aired last Wednesday, Feb. 6.
According to Deadline, viewers will finally get to meet Ray's family as Good Trouble actress Nicki Micheaux was cast as the wife, Alicia Price. The character is also a recurring role, which means that Ray's storyline in Chicago PD season 6 will be a progressing.
Alice Price is described as an intelligent and graceful person. She's quite measured and committed to her responsibility as a wife and mother.
But aside from Alice, viewers will also be introduced to Ray's daughter, Jasmine Price, with the casting of Alexis Louder in the role, according to reports. Jasmine is also into politics like her dad. She's described as a bright and hopeful young woman.
NBC has yet to announce the actual episode where these characters will be introduced in Chicago PD season 6. But viewers may recall that Ray confirmed with Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) that he was going to run as city mayor.
Police Superintendent Brian Kelton (played by John C. McGinley) also had plans to run for mayor, and he was seeking the endorsement of Ray. The latter's expanded storyline in Chicago PD season 6 could mean that he and Brian will go head-to-head in future episodes.
This has been an underlying story since the start of the season as Katherine Brennan (played by Anne Heche) has hinted of Ray's plans in the past. Chicago PD season 6 has at least eight more episodes to go before the finale, so there's plenty of time to explore this major plot progression.
Meanwhile, the most recent episode of Chicago PD season 6 involving the crossover with Chicago Fire picked up with ratings quite well. The show got its season high with 9.09 million viewers, as per The Hollywood Reporter.NBC has not yet renewed the series for season 7, but it's not likely going away on the network anytime soon giving its outstanding performance in the ratings.
On the other hand, Chicago PD season 6 episode 16, which airs on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 10:00 p.m., will have Voight (played by Jason Beghe) staying out of politics as his team works on a mysterious case. The police force under Voight will tackle a serial killer on the loose. Is this person a potential threat to Ray and his family?
