Avid followers of the famous American television crime drama series went wild when AMC, officially, announced Better Call Saul Season 5. The Breaking Bad spinoff has been doing very well in terms of ratings, which is why it comes as no surprise that the show has been renewed for a fifth installment. So, what should fans expect in BCS Season 5?

Things would be quite different in Better Call Saul Season 5 because Saul Goodman is taking over after fans bid goodbye to Jimmy McGill. For starters, BCS centers on the journey of Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk), who transformed into a criminal lawyer named Saul.

"[The question for Goodman is] how does he establish a reputation as not just a criminal lawyer but a criminal lawyer? And what does that mean to him at this point?" Showrunner Peter Gould told Collider when asked about the forthcoming Better Call Saul Season 5. "Because situations may require him to do things and turn a blind eye to things that Jimmy McGill would not be able to stomach," he added.

It expected that the forthcoming Better Call Saul Season 5 would pick up where the fourth installment left off. Aside from Jimmy living his life as Saul, the upcoming new season is also rumored to reveal the fate of the romance between Jimmy and Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn). It can be recalled that the lovebirds' relationship did not end well in the Season 4 finale.

It was also in the fourth installment when Kim, finally, had a chance to face Saul. Rhea Seehorn's character realized that she might have been dealing with a sociopath. Speculations are rife that Better Call Saul Season 5 will unveil the occurrences after Jimmy and Kim's infamous split.

Another possible happening in Better Call Saul Season 5 is the comeback of Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton) and Walter White (Bryan Cranston). Chuck McGill (Michael McKean), according to hearsays, could also return via flashbacks. Other characters to watch out for in the imminent new season, also, include Lydia Rodarte-Quayle (Laura Fraser), Huell Babineaux (Lavell Crawford), Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis) and, Leonel and Marco Salamanca (Daniel and Luis Moncada).

Though nothing is confirmed as of yet, reports suggest that the upcoming fifth season is likely to premiere in August 2019 on AMC. The brand-new episodes are even speculated to be aired every Monday at 9 p.m. ET. Stay tuned to Business Times China for the latest Better Call Saul Season 5 spoilers, predictions, news, and updates.
