Many fans are now thrilled for the return of the American science fiction television series that is based on the 1812 novel titled The Swiss Family Robinson. Generally, it is about the adventures of the Robinson family in the outer space and things went more interesting when their spaceship veered off course. So, what can avid followers of the franchise expect from Lost in Space Season 2?
Just like any other series, the up-and-coming Lost in Space Season 2 is expected to prick up where the first installment left off. It can be recalled that the Robinson clan was thrown into another galaxy in the Season 1 finale. Spoilers suggest that the sequel would give fans an overview on what transpired after the big plot twist.
EconoTimes shared that Lost in Space Season 2 would, also, introduce a new set of planets that the Robinson family would explore later. However, speculations suggest that discovering the new worlds might pose a threat to the entire clan because one of these planets could be the home of the Robot (Brian Steele), who is an alien robot that the youngest Robinson encountered during the crash.
The reputable news outlet even shared that Will Robinson (Maxwell Jenkins) is still unaware of the fate of his family in Lost in Space Season 2. The entire clan, which was selected for the 24th mission of the Resolute or known as the 24th Colonist Group, would see an 8-shaped galaxy in the first episode of the sequel installment.
Will, then, would be able to notice that the new galaxy has a resemblance to Robot's sand drawings. Aside from the forthcoming danger in the 8-shaped galaxy, the Robinson family would also have to deal with Dr. Zachary Smith (Parker Posey), a manipulative human being who tried to sabotage the Robinsons' chances of rescue by the Resolute, in Lost in Space Season 2.
Other characters expected to make a come back in the forthcoming Lost in Space Season 2 include Maureen Robinson (Molly Parker), John Robinson (Toby Stephens), Judy Robinson (Taylor Russel), Penny Robinson (Mina Sundwall), and Don West (Ignacio Serricchio). The sequel may also include recurring casts such as Raza Jaffrey as Victor Dhar, Sibongile Mlambo as Angela Goddard, Shaun Parkes as Captain Radic, Adam Greydon Reid as Peter Beckert, and Kiki Sukezame as Aiko Watanabe among others.
Netflix has yet to announce the official air date of the popular science fiction series. However, rumors suggest that it might premiere in September 2019. Stay tuned to Business Times China for the latest Lost in Space Season 2 spoilers, news, and updates.
