Younger season 6 is returning on television at an earlier date than expected. However, viewers will no longer find the show on TV Land as the show moved to Paramount Network effective last September.
According to TV Line, Younger season 6 will be airing on Thursday nights at Paramount Network beginning spring. A specific air date, however, has not yet been announced as of press time.
Fans have been eager to watch Younger season 6 because the last installment left a cliffhanger. Josh (played by Nico Tortorella) got the shock of his life when his ex-wife Claire (played by Anastasia Barzee) returned with a growing baby belly.
Anyone hoping for Josh to get it on with Liza (played by Sutton Foster) has had their hopes dashed because of these surprising new developments. But according to creator Darren Star via Entertainment Tonight, it will bring Liza closer to the orbit of Josh.
Even with this, Liza will continue to navigate her imperfect relationship with Charles (played by Peter Hermann) in Younger season 6. The fifth season saw them becoming a real couple after years of going back and forth in this relationship.
The romance, however, dwindled early on as fans saw in last season's finale. Younger season 6, the dynamics of their new relationship, now that the illusion of romance is gone, will bear a huge impact.
"I feel like it's going to create a lot of complications," Star further said. "Season six is basically, let's see how this unfolds. The dynamic is going to be different."
Meanwhile, viewers of the show will finally be able to find out how Zane (played by Charles Michael Davis) is working out at his new job. Kelsey (Hilary Duff), on the other hand, will face unexpected challenges in her new role at work and the former love of her life will still be an integral part of Younger season 6.
Clueless Diana (played by Miriam Shor), on the other hand, is one of the few people who still doesn't know Liza's actual age but could that change in Younger season 6? Meanwhile, Star said that Diana's relationship with Enzo (played by Chris Tardio) would also bring new developments.
The premise of Younger is something you don't commonly see on TV. Here is a woman in her 40s who tries to get a job by lying about her age. Liza has been keeping the ruse that she's in her late 20s from many people and it has caused so many complications in her personal life.
