Shadowhunters season 3 will dial up the romance between Clary (played by Katherine McNamara) and Jace (played by Dominic Sherwood). The episode, titled "A Kiss From a Rose," is set to air on Monday, March 18, at 8:00 p.m. on Freeform.
Details to this romantic interlude haven't been revealed. However, the episode synopsis confirmed Jace would be taking his ladylove on a special date in Shadowhunters season 3 episode 14.
The episode will also have Isabella (played by Emeraude Toubia) asking for help from her brother Alec (played by Matthew Daddario) in finding information about the mistreatment going on at The Clave. On the other hand, despite his hesitation, Magnus (played by Harry Shum Jr.) will seek favor from Lorenzo (played by Javier Muñoz). Will Magnus play this card right or will this tie him down to one of the most powerful warlocks?
Meanwhile, last Monday's story on Shadowhunters season 3 featured the death of Russell (played by Noah Danby) even as Maia protected him from the brawl between the vampires and wolves, as per TV Line. With the pack leader gone, will Maia take the reins and be the new alpha? Will she be ready for the task?
The new responsibility, however, comes with some bitter consequences as Maia and Simon (played by Alberto Rosende) decided to break up. To be fair, both treated the end of their relationship so maturely, and they agreed that holding on to what they have does not feel right anymore.
Clary and Jace, meanwhile, had a special moment together in Shadowhunters season 3 episode 13, even if that meant spending a long time removing the rune that bonded Clary to her brother Jonathan (played by Luke Baines). In this scene, Jace proclaimed his undying love for Clary, and she reciprocated her feelings.
Elsewhere, Jonathan is still keeping a close eye on her sister. His love for her crosses on obsession more than sibling love, and until that rune is gone from her skin, Jonathan will still be attached to Clary.
Meanwhile, despite the campaign to save Shadowhunters from cancellation, it looks like the stars are already figuring out their next moves. Shum Jr, for instance, has landed a new TV project in Heart of Life. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this series is based on a song from John Mayer.
McNamara, on the other hand, thinks that Shadowhunters could still be back on air after 10 years. "I don't wanna ever say never, because who knows, crazier things have happened in this world," McNamara told Just Jared.
