Sophie Lennon is not going anywhere on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3. Jane Lynch, who plays the character, confirms she will return, and she will be in the whole season for what she hinted could be a major plot.

In an interview on Extra, Lynch said that she's coming back to work on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3. "I'm gonna do the whole season, I'm gonna have a bigger presence, which, I'm thrilled! I love playing that part," the comedienne said.

The actress' character is a popular, successful and well-liked stand-up comic who is not a nice person in real life. She's quite vindictive.

In The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 2, Sophie tried to convince Susie Myerson (played by Alex Borstein) to ditch Midge Maisel (played by Rachel Brosnahan), so she could be her agent. Susie has been conflicted about this proposal when the second season ended.

Filming for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3 will begin in Long Island in mid-March. There have been public casting calls for 18 to 40-year-old men who could play 1950s U.S. soldiers.

There has also been casting call for actresses who may play U.S. soldiers wives and girlfriends managing a canteen. It's likely that Midge is going to perform her comic bit for this audience in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3.

But the show is also going to film a few episodes in Miami. Tony Shalhoub (as Abe Weissman) told Entertainment Tonight that they will head to this city come June for Midge's tour.

It seems Mrs. Maisel's career is taking off now that she's going to be part of the concerts of the popular singer Shy Baldwin (played by Leroy McClain). Is this why Mrs. Maisel's parents will finally learn to accept that their daughter can have a successful career as an entertainer?

Meanwhile, Amazon has not yet announced when The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3 will premiere on the platform. But if they are filming from March to June or July, then the show may likely have episodes ready in time for a December 2019 release. The previous season also followed the same calendar as it filmed the series the first half of the year and then launched the season around Thanksgiving or before Christmas.

The one other thing that hasn't been confirmed, however, is if Zachary Levi (as Benjamin) would be back for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3. The actor said in past interviews that he enjoyed being on the show and would love to continue working in it.
