Seungri's alleged violation of the anti-prostitution laws continues to be a major controversy. The South Korean Idol is now deemed to be a suspect after the police confirmed the legitimacy of his hidden camera and prostitution chat.

In a report from AllKpop, the authorities have recently confirmed their findings after a series of investigation involving the controversial KakaoTalk chats. Previously, the K-pop star alongside YGE and Yuri Holdings had denied the validity of the issue, saying it was not true.

However, the police said that the alleged KakaoTalk chats are neither fake nor fabricated. According to the officials, they performed an analysis of the conversations and found out that the chatroom did exist. The conversations, contrary to what Seungri and his agency claimed, were not "fabricated or manipulated."

Unless the Idol's lawyers can find a way to challenge that the conversations were legitimate, it is almost impossible for him to get out of the situation. The publication added that there is sufficient public evidence to determine that he, Jung Joong Young, and other members of the chat room are guilty.

The KakaoTalk chatroom was where the individuals shared hidden cameras and pictures. It was eventually exposed to the public after a fellow celebrity took their mobile devices to a repair shop. Apparently, the worker who repaired the phones became the whistleblower.

Much like Jung Joong Young, Seungri is also barred from leaving the country. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency banned him after he was booked. In other words, the South Korean singer was no longer a target of the investigation - he is now one of the suspects.

According to Forbes, the Big Bang member has decided to retire after being booked on charges of supplying prostitutes. Although he still tries to deny the charges, the K-pop star revealed via a post on his official Instagram account his retirement.

In the post, Seungri said that he is "retiring from the entertainment industry." He further said that the issues he caused resulted in "a social disturbance," which are "too major" for him.

After his name was mentioned by the South Korean police, YG Entertainment's stocks declined roughly 14 percent. The singer has been involved in the multi-prolonged scandal, which has been developing for months.

According to leaked texts taken from the group chat, Seungri appears to be coordinating with his staff in an attempt to hire prostitutes set up for his potential investors. He was also connected to chat rooms that are believed to have members who constantly shared hidden-camera videos of themselves having sex with women.
