Legends of Tomorrow season 4 has returned from its three-month hiatus and the first episode back, which aired last Monday, April 1, saw some changes in the characterization of Hank (played by Tom Wilson). The next episode will have the team poking into the villain's real agenda. Could they Hank be on their side?

According to the episode synopsis, Nate (played by Nick Zano) and Zari (played by Tala Ashe), will probe deeper into what Hank is up to in Legends of Tomorrow season 4 episode 10. Meanwhile, Hank is actually in the 1970s with Constantine (played by Matt Ryan), Ray (played by Brandon Routh) and Sara (played by Caity Lotz).

Hank has taken charge of the Waverider while the gang tries to run away from the authorities for allegedly kidnapping President Nixon. But something is quite weird in this timeline as they cannot seem to tell any lies. As shown in the teaser oLegends of Tomorrow season 4 episode 10, Ray tells the cops that he's a time traveler, but obviously, the authorities don't believe him.

Meanwhile, Legends of Tomorrow showrunner Phil Kemmer told TV Line that they had to rewrite Hank as a more likable character than a complete villain. Apparently, before the midseason break, they had all the intention to make Hank a big threat to the team, but that changed because they ended up appreciating how Wilson took on the character.

So, in the coming weeks on Legends of Tomorrow season 4, viewers will see how Hank changes his agenda. He will come to some realizations about working for Neron (played Christian Keyes) and his dynamics with his son, Nate, will also change. It won't immediately lead to a reconciliation, however, but there will be something deeper about Hank that Nate will come to understand.

"We realized it was more interesting to see how a dad would be changed by a reconnection with his son," the showrunner said. "What would it be like for this stern, 'master of the universe' guy to be changed by his bohemian, dips-t son?"

But Kemmer also hinted that there's another brewing complication from within the team on Legends of Tomorrow season 4. Sara and Ava (played by Jes Macallan) will also have some conflicts as both leaders of the team feel that things aren't balanced.

Meanwhile, other upcoming episodes to Legends of Tomorrow season 4 will also include a Bollywood-themed setting, a hockey event, and 1980s Wall Street.  Tune in to this superhero series every Monday night on The CW.
