The hunt for Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor (Jon Cryer) continues in Supergirl Season 4 Episode 20. As Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) keep searching, it looks like the duo will find themselves in all kinds of trouble.
Before that, here's a quick recap (via Entertainment Weekly) of what happened in the latest episode of Supergirl Season 4. Episode 19, titled "American Dreamer," saw Kara Danvers spending most of her time as an investigative reporter in an attempt to bring down Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor once and for all.
With the help of her co-worker, Franklin (Sean Hewlett), who has a sister who works in Human Resources at AmerTek Industries, Kara Danvers found out that a mysterious Sebastian Melmoth transferred millions from L-Corp to AmerTek Industries. The money was used to purchase a military base in the non-existent Rubniu.
Hence, Kara Danvers paid Lena Luthor a quick visit to learn more about the AmerTek Industries clues. While reluctant at first, the latter revealed she worked with Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor for months, despite knowing he was manipulating her.
Lena Luthor, then, recalled that Sebastian Melmoth was an Oscar Wilde pseudonym Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor enjoyed using, and it led her to pick apart his cipher, which revealed "Rubnia" to be code for Kaznia. Hence, the latter purchased the military base in Kaznia.
Now, Kara Danvers and Lena Luthor will head to Kaznia to hunt down Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor. However, their hopes might be cut short when Eve Tessmacher (Andrea Brooks) sets up a trap that could reveal who is hiding behind Supergirl's mask.
"Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Lena (Katie McGrath) head to Kaznia to hunt down Lex," the official synopsis of Supergirl Season 4 Episode 20 reads (via Carter Matt). "However, Eve Tessmacher (guest star Andrea Brooks) sets a trap for the duo that could ultimately reveal that Kara is Supergirl. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) gets a long-awaited phone call, James (Mehcad Brooks) practices using his powers, and Ben Lockwood (Sam Witwer) takes a dangerous stand inside the DEO," it added.
Supergirl Season 4 Episode 20, titled "Will the Real Miss Tessmacher Please Stand Up?," is directed by Shannon Kohli with story by Derek Simon and teleplay by Katie Rose Rogers and Natalie Abrams. It is set to air on May 5, Sunday at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on The CW.
