The Resident fans, brace yourselves for an emotional and heartbreaking season 2 finale! The spoilers and predictions for the upcoming episode 23 are here, teasing what's to come.
Before that, here's a quick recap of what happened in the penultimate episode of The Resident Season 2. Episode 22, titled "Broker and Broker," saw nurse Nicolette "Nic" Nevin (Emily VanCamp) doing everything she can to save her sister, Jessie Nevin (Julianna Guill), whose kidneys are failing.
Hence, Dr. Alec Shaw (Miles Gaston) introduced Nicolette "Nic" Nevin to Elliot Festervan (John Noble), who was an organ broker. Nicolette "Nic" Nevin, however, refused as she did not want to go beyond ethical lines considering others are waiting for years on the transplant list.
Nicolette "Nic" Nevin turning down the offer made Dr. Alec Shaw upset and frustrated as it was like she offended him. He, then, remarked that she just kissed her last chance of getting a kidney goodbye.
Meanwhile, Dr. Devon Pravesh (Manish Dayal) and Dr. Irving Feldman (Tasso Feldman) helped Dr. Mina Okafor (Shaunette Renée Wilson) piece together important details from her night out after The Raptor sidelines her for an upcoming surgery. Dr. Randolph Bell (Bruce Greenwood), on the other hand, turned a patient - who just won a lottery - as a potential solution to Chastain's financial problems.
Now, the spoilers and predictions for the much-anticipated The Resident Season 2 finale reveal Dr. Conrad Hawkins will help Nicolette "Nic" Nevin in finding an individual who is willing to donate a kidney to her sister, Jessie Nevin.
"In an effort to save Chastain, Bell considers selling the hospital to a conglomerate, but Kit tries to make him see that the negatives will outweigh the positives," the official synopsis of The Resident Season 2 Episode 23 reads (via Carter Matt). "With Conrad's help, Nic tracks down Kyle (guest star Corbin Bernsen) and pleads for him to reconsider donating a kidney to Jessie. Meanwhile, Mina voices her concern to Austin when Shira is assigned to Micah's surgery and Devon fights for the care of a patient whom the doctors suspect is uninsured," it added.
The Resident Season 2 Episode 23 (finale), titled "The Unbefriended," is set to air on Monday, May 6 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on FOX.
