Many fans around the world are now thrilled for the up-and-coming premiere of Criminal Minds Season 15. Though it has been previously revealed that the imminent fifteenth installment of the popular American police procedural crime drama television series will be packed with action scenes, details about it remain scarce up to this writing. This, then, pushed some fans to speculate on what is likely to transpire the forthcoming new season.

Reports have it that all current cast will be back in Criminal Minds Season 15. In other words, viewers will get to see Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsnes), Jennifer "J.J." Jareau (A.J. Cook), Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), David Rossi (Joe Mantegna), and the rest of the gang again. Matthew, in an interview with Parade, divulged that Jane Lynch would also appear in the series' fifteenth installment to play her character as Spencer Reid's schizophrenic mother named Diana.

"I see a happy ending in store for Reid, which is something that we're all looking forward to, including with his mom," Matthew told the publication when asked about the fate of his character in the upcoming Criminal Minds Season 15. At the time, the actor tried his best not to reveal any spoilers for the show's final installment.

Besides his mother, it is reported that Spencer Reid will also be meeting his new found love interest in the forthcoming Criminal Minds Season 15. Actress Rachael Leigh Cook will play, again, as Mac, who is a quirky and kind-hearted woman who will catch the heart of Spencer. It is said that Rachael will appear in two episodes of the show's last season.

Executive producer Erica Messer also hinted that there is a huge possibility that former characters will make a comeback in Criminal Minds Season 15. If this is the case, then, avid followers of the how might be able to see Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin), Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), and Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) again.

"I am very hopeful that we can honor all of those characters who have been beloved and with this team, with the audience for years," Erica revealed. She also divulged, in a separate interview, that the Criminal Minds Season 15 finale would be a "tearjerker." However, Erica did not confirm if one of the main characters would die un the finale episode.
